Math101
10000 shares @ 1.00 = $10,000.00 sell half 5000 shares @ 1.00 = $5,000 keep half 5000 shares @ 5.00 = $25,000
$25,000 + $5,000 = $30,000 not bad
10000 shares @ 5.00 = $50,000 better
Now i'm not a math wizard, but i belive i can buy a Corvette now with no loan, versus your method. To me $5,500.00 is not a lot of money, I rather wait for the big payoff, but that is the difference between investing and trading, you will not get rich trading, you will do ok, but not rich. Have have been investing for a while now and have done very good so far. The key word in that sentence was INVESTING, not trading. Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers Nigel, but i still like my math better than yours. To each their own I guess. Then when you get time, try to figure out all the things in life you could have done with that extra $20,000.00. |
