I think IS95 CDMA required sectorization and rake receivers from the start. cdg.org (Antenna Sectorization is discussed at the bottom. 3 sectors is common.) CDMAOne isn't standing still. Q announced their new base station modem this spring. Cuts chip counts or handles more calls. qualcomm.com New software will provide IS95B early next year. qualcomm.com
