Strike again, my friend. This was discussed way back on the Boink thread. Turns out perjury charges are not that uncommon as some would have you believe.

And I think you are just simply wrong about image. The US is justifiably the most loved, feared, envied and hated nation on the planet. Its system of government and seat of Federal power are held in awe the world over. You sound young and may not remember but even sworn enemies such as Ho Chi Minh admired the founding documents of this country, studied them and called them out as documents attesting to beliefs that he held.

The President and his WH office are symbolic of this country's truly revolutionary heritage and held in hearts and minds of many beyond the shores of the bordering seas. At least they used to be. When the President is viewed its usually accompanied by much pomp and circumstance all in the name of projecting that image. Think of parades, speeches, arrivals, departures, signings, these are all carefully scripted image building events. And this is as it should be and the youth of today can look up to this image of world leader, or ought to and be proud and aspiring.

The image of Bill with his pants dropped down below his knees has sadly tarnished that image the world over. We need to move beyond this X-rated presidency. Soon enough, I hope we will.
