This news from Astra sounds good to me because it tells us that MUSE sales have yet to begin in already approved countries. I was told by Vivus that all orders from Astra are shipped to one location and Astra takes care of further distribution. I would guess that it would cost Astra many millions worth of MUSE just to fill their channels in countries that already have approval but are not actually selling MUSE in pharmacies. From the sound of things, Vivus is still going to have a hard time producing enough product for Astra and Janssen. I was told by Vivus that Astra/Janssen told them not to close PACO even with new new factory producing significant product. Vivus needs to get the new factory rolling so that PACO production can be terminated ASAP since their costs at PACO is much much higher. It takes time to train the new personnel.
