Rookie, I think the risk/reward relationship favors CYMI over AMAT at this point. There is the potential for CYMI to return the historical relationship to AMAT you point out, but CYMI's prospects for faster and stronger recovery look better than AMAT's, not to mention it's pre-eminent position in a critical technology that should show growth much greater than AMAT's.

CYMI is still trading much closer to its year low, so if you assume those lows as support, you can play the upside potential with less downside risk.
