Murphy has a model that compares a company's price to the amount of R&D that they spend. His rationale is that since R&D is the lifeblood of a high tech firm, those that invest more in R&D have created more value that will show up in marketable products. Not a bad premise if a company can get products to market in a timely fashion. I still have hope for IDTI and at the current stock price, its a pretty low risk gamble. However, at this price, I would not credit recommending IDTI to Michael Murphy because its a value play pure and simple.
