Look at these PC stocks..... 12:51 ET Compaq Computer (CPQ) 33 1/4 +1 5/16: CPQ is lapping the filed on the NYSE volume charts today, with over 13 million shares so far. Next on the list is UNH at 6.8 million. No news on CPQ...yet, but maybe some shorts are being closed. CPQ was in third place on the NYSE short list, with almost 41 million shares short on July 15. 11:40 ET Disk Drive Stocks: Western Digital (WDC) 11 5/8 +1 1/16, Seagate (SEG) 23 13/16 +1 7/8, and Quantum (QNTM) 16 7/16 +1 7/16 are all soaring today in speculation that maybe the worst in the tech sector is over. No hard news, but these stocks have all been beaten up badly, and now that some of the big cap names have slowed down, maybe these will attract attention again for the bottom-fishers. NMGC next... so far low volume. wait till it picks up
