No that is not entirely true... if you look at what they tested and how (its my understanding that they tested up to 00 but not past it yet) you will get a different interpretation. Also, this is just one system in a highly regulated situation.
Secondly, this differs greatly from the overall state of Y2K. Read the articles in the WSJ today. The state of mind on Wall Street is wrong and they are being lulled into a false sense of security.
Behind the scenes, its chaos. Publicly, everything is just dandy. If companies, the SEC, the government, and foreign entities came forward and REALLY told us what is,or better yet, what isn't happening, there would be market mania.... so they can't come clean. Don't believe for a minute that Y2K is under control or that Y2K companies are out of vogue.... its a dangerous assumption.
On the other hand, the leading Y2K companies are a steal right now. The monster contracts will come later this year... count on it. Tech Master |
