It is not the root system of a pipe. The root system of a pipe is hypabyssal (fine grained) facies. Diatreme facies is the porphyritic texture that denotes a near surface blow out. This vein is a diatreme.
That is what is said. What we have is a blow. It is 8.5 feet wide. How wide it is 1000 feet down dip I do not know. I suspect it is narrow.
They usually are.
