There's an interesting article by Jerry Favors at marketweb.com. Basically he says that we may have made a short term bottom here and it will probably be up thru Aug options expiration, then back down in Sept-Oct. I all along expected the crash/correction to come in the Sep-Oct period which is why the past 2 weeks surprised me so much. Today the market looks healthy for the first time in weeks. It looks now like we will rally here so while I am still out of the market, if I was short I think I would cover here and wait till the excesses of mid-Aug to start going short again. Of course, you never know with the way the market has been changing and jumping around day to day but I agree with Favors that this is the most likely outlook right now. If this scenario is true then all the many people like me who missed a chance to short the last 2 weeks will be getting another great opportunity in the near future.
