I respectfully disagree ... Technical reason on the design side have
forced this delay. The sooner that Intel can get out Merced/McKinley, the
sooner that HP, IBM, SGI, Compaq, ... will stop pursuing their own
RISC processors. Intel needs to move into the "high-end" Enterprise
Server market ... I'm not convinced that Xeon will do that for Intel.

BTW, the way I read the earlier "link" that I posted regarding Merced ... indicates
that Merced might never come out. This is much different than a six
month delay.
