I have zero marketing or software experience, sorry. (Otherwise I'd'a sent in for consideration for your internet enterprise.) I note with amusement that I placed a limit order for $4 when the gates were at 3 7/8 and 4 1/8. Whaddya know, next I looked they were reset to 4 and 4 1/8, no volume. 200 shares later - 4 1/16 and 4 1/8. Something must have happened, because my day order filled at $4. Gotta go peruse my charts and see whose candy I stole. Well - it LOOKED like a candy bar... :-) (with a nod to Caddyshack)
