Michelle, thanks for that fully emotional reply to a truth you want to deny. The study is quite sober, though your reaction is not.

You will never disarm the criminals.

Since the Brady Bill et al by definition aren't aimed at criminals, the real effect is to disarm the law abiding populace. This nation was founded on armed struggle and those that wrote the Constitution knew that only an armed populace could prevent tyranny.

That is the lesson of history. History also tells us that the NRA is right in pointing out that authoritarian and totalitarian regimes always secure strict gun control at their incipience.
