Heh, I came to SI from the Getty when I was there too.

Having an obvious compatibility bug like the Riva thing is inexcusable, and I'd think few customers would give the game a second chance.

Although FF VII is well done (I never did post my review), there are a couple issues which really make it look rushed. Video & sound compatibility issues, installation issues, inability to run under NT (for a DirectX game), all of these are hallmarks of software which was rushed to make a date.
