Re: 3636 ... double-double?

We've had this discussion in the past.

'11' is a double ... meaning two identical digits.

'36' is a double ... meaning a pair of non-identical digits

Thus, consecutive '36's should probably be called a double-double.

We've discussed renaming '11' from a double to a single-double, but then when we get into triples, it gets so confusing.

So, we kinda' let the semantics of "double-double" cover a myriad of posting situations.

A double-double, when the double is identical digits (like '11'), is in reality, a quadruple ('1111'). You get more points for the quad. And, even more for the quintuple. We have not set up any point value yet for a sextuple. Odds are against ever needing a heptuple or an octuple value.
