Rep. Dreier will drop his bill tonight, and have a number of cosponsors, including Anna Eshoo of CA, Goodlatte and Boucher of VA, and others. I am sitting here waiting by the phone in the event I have to defend language that I asked to be included in the bill. It would extend the bill's liability protections to substantive Y2K readiness disclosures that were made prior to the president's speech on 7/14, etc. Look for it in section 6 (I think). See if you can find the "go TAVA!" message hidden inside. gggg.

I expect business to rally big time behind this bill, and if we can get it through the Senate labyrinth, I expect Mr. Gore to convince the prez to ignore the cries of the trial lawyers and sign it into law. ggg.
