I have used Win98 Beta 3 for 2-3 months on 2 IBM ThinkPads (701-C and 765D), 2 older ASUS pentium motherboards, a 4-year old Intel (brand) Pentium motherboard and an Intel (brand) Pentium-Pro motherboard. It's incredibly reliable and stable. Don't be afraid to use your certificate. It installs on top of WIN 95 in a breeze without any glitches. At least this has been my experience. Hope this helps you make your decision.
