Doug, my phone line went kabloowie [technical term] so I've been literally off line for a while. Damndest thing, modems don't work unless they're connected to something! Go figure. Well I would have said buy but now it looks like I'm playing with 20 -20 hindsight. So I still say buy. Even if we got a point or so back on G* and LOR today, we've still been hammered. Which? I'd say LOR if you're going to use margin cause it wouldn't be so exposed as G* if the Zenit fries the dozen vis a vis elevating them. Having had the pleasure, a margin call is one of life's least favorite experiences. Relative valuations are hard to figure, but Surfer Mike's crystal ball says G's got more bang for the buck over a 2-3 year time frame; LOR if you go out 3-5. Your other picks look like a typical low beta dougjn portfolio to me :) You know I'm a QCOM whacko so I'll disqualify myself. Oh hell, no I won't: buy the Q. That's an order. Notice you've got psft listed twice so I figure you like it. Got a bud that works there and he says they're going hell bent for election. David Duffield is evidently just one great leader and has the troops in a frenzy at all times of the night and day. Heavy competition from Oracle and Larry says he's gonna whup David's hind end and just hired a few hundred card carrying ninja salespeople to do it. I still think psft has a good shot. Valuation seems rich but then I didn't buy YHOO either. I just established position in WCII @ 33 and change last week; will add @30 or a hair under. Like citrix alot. As to others, me not knowing :( Worried about head fakes here. See general market crappola through October so with the exceptions of those issues that have really been creamed already (lor and g definitely qualify) I ain't in a rush. Or so it seems to me. caveat: I bought LSI Logic in the 30's. One smart pup am I. best, mike doyle
