*AV*--Disk Drive Guys

SEG is the head honcho
QNTM next and
WDC brings up the rear.
MXTR is out there as a stepchild of Hyundai.

For the life of me I cannot remember who IBM is OEMing their great GMTR technology to. Who ever it is may very well become the leader of the pack. I also cut and pasted or linked to a report about a company whose name also starts with a Q that is doing some revolutionary disk drive density work. They are working with one of the 3 companies above.

Next tier are teh subcomponent suppliers APM and RDRT. There is only room for one of them so choose your horse. My bias has always been toward RDRT. Remember IBM has an OEM unit that will affect these two companies and SEG does the equivalent stuff in house.

Other suppliers of sub assemblies are HTCH and INVX and I am not sure if I would venture that far down the food chain.

Just for the record, I just received something positive on CY that is timely and is being sent to the author of the letter. Apparently a major brokerage house has initiated a buy coverage and feels it is about to come off its 4 year lows and start a positive trend.

Andrew

Scott-Good comments and good advice. Thanks.
