Bob, the removable drive is a HOT PLUGABLE and each machine has a carrier installed that it plugs into. The machine recognizes it the same as if it was screwed in (cables and all attached to carriers which remain in each computer just as if it was a perm drive--the carrier and drive has male/female pins just like a cable and drive that is permanently installed)and should be no different than one that is permanent.

This is just in case you were thinking it was a Zip Drive or an EXTERNAL DRIVE.
