YEs, there is nothing more irritating than the constant refrain of 'call the company and find out the truth' spewed on thread after thread. There is something seriously wrong when 90% of the posts on these piece of **** companies are positive, and we all know 90%+ are destined for failure. There should be far more posters questioning and criticizing the thread cheerleaders and company pitchmen. What would become of the court system if shareholders took legal action everytime they were told something false?

I certainly agree that many of John's posts listed by Antares as objectionable contain nothing improper and would like to see further detail from Antares on their specifc concerns. These posts would have received little attention had the company not chosen to draw attention to them. Whats next, maybe an article in a major newspaper about a forum participant being threatened? Perhaps that would at least lead to a public revelation on where the cash went. Now that Antares has decided to participate on the forum, I look forward to continued posts updating company affairs and responding to shareholder concerns.

Really I don't know what these companies are thinking. If one was really intent on damaging them in some way, how hard do they think it would be to make the posts from a public access PC? In minutes I could be saying anything I want in complete annonymity at Yahoo or Stockhouse, and even SI during the regular trial periods.

This was a great post on the nature of forum participant psychology in dealing with 'speculative' companies. In no way is this meant to reflect on Antares or its employees. It is posted here because of the nature of discussion that has resulted from the recent post from Anteres

Re: Top 10 Emotions Used when Investing in SCAMs

1. Skepticism -- Hmmm.... sounds really good, maybe to be safe I'll by a few
shares of SCAM.

2. Intrigue -- Hey, the volume is up markedly today and the price also went up,
maybe that guying talking it up is right?! Better buy some more SCAM before
everyone else catches on. [Translation: all the people reacting to step 1 made
the price go up]

3. Alarm -- Wow, this thing just keeps going up. And the "big news" hasn't even
hit yet. Oh what the heck, stock XYZ is doing squat so I'll throw that money
over here in SCAM. [Translation: all the people reacting to step 2 made the
price go up]

4. Urgency -- News!!! Just like the guy said. Goodbye MSFT, hello SCAM.

5. Giddyness -- Should I buy a Mercedes or a Lexis? Darn, should have sold
everything to buy SCAM. [Translation: The drug has taken effect. You are
all-powerful and all-knowing and bow to no one]

6. Amazement -- Hey, the price just tanked. Must be profit taking. Now is a
good time to buy those SCAM shares I wish I had bought before [Translation:
You want the most expensive Mercedes]

7. Disbelief -- Damn evil Canadian MMs! Damn Bashers! You think you're
shaking loose my shares of SCAM? No way! [Translation: we haven't even
come close to the price projection by the lead hyper of SCAM]

8. Shock -- I can't believe I'm losing money here. No way. Not me. I'm not
selling because I believe in SCAM! [Translation: The drug is wearing off and
denial has set in]

9. Horror -- Oh my G-d, the Bashers were right!

10. Resignation -- I still have a family who love me. I'll get over it. [Translation:
next time I'll do my own independent DD before throwing my money away on a
SCAM]
