The Motley Fools had Oracle in one of their premier portfolios before the bad earnings announcement earlier this year. The fools promptly dumped their Oracle stock after the announcement at a huge loss, and it now looks like The Fools should have held it for a few quarters .... now that Oracle is poised for a comeback. The Fools only show profits and losses for stock presently held in a portfolio. Once they sold the ORCL stock, it was off their books. NO CARRYOVER LOSSES. Cheap way to enhance performance and cover losses.
