NEWS RELEASE TRANSMITTED BY CANADIAN CORPORATE NEWS FOR: KAZAKHSTAN MINERALS CORPORATION TSE SYMBOL: KMC.U AUGUST 6, 1998 Kazakhstan Minerals: Terminated Voluntary Pooling Restrictions VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--KazMinCo announces that it has terminated voluntary pooling restrictions applicable to 3,925,000 common shares so as to enable the shares to become freely tradable. The restrictions had been imposed pursuant to the terms of Share Exchange Agreements dated September 8, 1995 between KazMinCo and the shareholders of Three K Exploration and Mining Ltd. KazMinCo has 29,546,156 common shares in issue. Shareholders are advised to submit their share certificates to the Transfer Agent for removal of the restrictive legend.
