Nigel-
Your points are well taken. He hasn't given us an answer but I have an idea I would like to offer, if I may. I have a somewhat friendly relationship with JAB. His PM manner is professional and more pleasant than what I read on the SI thread. In the very beginning, I questioned his assaults on Mr. Gordon. His scenarios where way out in left field, and his presentation seemed to find fault with the CEO. I resented this way of presenting his DD. The facts that he did uncover, though, allowed me to realize there is more to the story than just CCI, music cards, and making a killing on the in- vestment. By bringing out certain facts or scenarios, JAB presents us with, what I consider, important DD we all should consider. Why is he doing this? My first thought is that he really wanted to check out TSIG as an investment opportunity. Once certain facts came to light, he decided it may not be for him. After posting his DD, he then had to justify his decision not to invest. IMO, this is why he spent so much time in his early posts, and now with his final DD on Phoenix. Is he a paid basher, no, I do not believe he is. But to help the board find out this on-going reason, I will PM JAB and try to ask him directly. I know he is a busy person, but, also, a very thorough one. Maybe there is a negative side to him that has been suggested. I haven't seen it in his PM's to me and hope it isn't true. JAB can really help us with his DD, if only he can do it in a more constructive way. Bringing out negatives with TSIG doesn't have to hurt the company. We all have things about us that can be improved upon. So is it with TSIG. By being aware of the shortcomings and making plans to retify these issues, TSIG can only get stronger in the long run. Isn't that what we all want to accomplish? Initial DD to make an investment decision and secon- sary DD to help the company reach their goals as well as ours.
Relentless
p.s. I prefer Relentless but it was already being used on the S.I. thread. |
