I read a similar article in the Phila Inquirer,

The author of the article felt that Fox would be unwilling to raise its stakes in its NHL position. He felt that FOX would not be willing to counteroffer such a high bid.

IMHO, I bet he his wrong. I think fox is determined to keep such a valuable asset knowing they have ACTV in thier back pocket.
If ratings are down, perhaps NHL programing could use a taste of
ACTV Technology ! I think FOX knows that !
