Peter,

Any comments on these fundamental ideas?

Sure...MU is at least at 500 million mbit/month bit production...and...they were selling for approximately $.10 per megabit. Recently 16 mb chips have risen from as low as $1.50 to $2.00 and 64mb chips from as low as $7 to now maybe $9.

We have seen about a 25% increase off the rock bottom lows from last quarter. What does this do to MU's bottom line. Well this kind of increase adds approximately $10 to 12 million PER MONTH which goes right to the bottom line. This equates to approximately $.50per share. Soooooo....if MU was expected to lose this quarter they may be close to breakeven right now.

IN addition they are improving their production costs, increasing their 64mb production and claim to have 70% wafer starts that are PC100 compatible ....therefore....you have a real opportunity to show a profit in the 1st quarter of 99.

For the "forever bears" do not underestimate the large impact on each small incremental increase in bit production. Remember EVERY 1 cent increase in DRAM chips is going right into MU's pocket.

I still say if you are short and MU breaks 36 ....LOOK OUT !!!!! My gut feeling says it might happen today.

Good Luck Trading
