Thanks olduvai5, That bonding and polishing process for the thick SIMOX sounds expensive. Not that implanters are cheap, but if the throughput is up, the cost per wafer would be more reasonable. I wonder if the implanted SIMOX can also be used for power apps or is it just good for reducing leakage? Do you know what WFR is doing regarding implanted oxygen development? JF
