Marcie: If I were in at 18 I'd feel like you do about this..or worse. It's an ugly thing to buy what looks like bargain (off 50% from high) then have it collapse from there. One of MPP's VP's added to holdings at $22 so it wasn't easy to see where this was going. But I'm in 2 days ago @ 6.75 and looking for a bottom. I think the market grossly overvalued these issues in Oct 97 and kicked myself for not shorting them after the Barron's article came out..but it's tough to predict irrationality. I think the market has similarly underpriced the issues now. I'm not a fan of cigars and wouldn't have bought MPP if I hadn't seen it as very undervalued.
