Hal, Just what would you propose that Microsoft should do? Should they stop developing software? Should they develop software and sell it as stand alone? If they did, wouldn't they make more money and wouldn't consumers say that "I wish Microsoft would put all this software in one package". Or maybe Microsoft ought to be a benevolent company and provide a helping hand to any potential competitor who would in return, gladly cut Microsoft's throat?

In all the discussion on this thread concerning Microsoft's business practices, I can't recall anyone discussing what "appropriate action" the company should undertake. Do you have a solution?
