With all due respect, read Genesis again. The commandment says 'Thou shalt not murder'. There's a very big difference between murder and killing. Also read through the OT where criminal justice is described. Eye for eye is clearly laid out. It's laid out not for behavior between individuals but for the criminal justice system for society. The Bible is completly consistant and hormonious.
