PHLX to list SAP options on August 10
CHICAGO, Aug 6 (Reuters) - The Philadelphia Stock Exchange said Thursday it would begin trading options on German software giant SAP AG (SAP - news) on August 10.
SAP options will trade on the March expiration cycle with expiration months of August, September, December and March. Initial strike prices will be 55, 60, and 65.
APEX Investment Group LP will guarantee an automatic execution of up to 25 contracts and will be aggressive in offering additional sizable markets, the exchange said.
Apex also will be the specialist unit for the options.
Options should help Americans "discover" SAP.
>Here in Germany nice weather, nice Friday, nice prices...
My little EuroWEBS up 0.50% for the week; Switz/Sweden/Netherlands lag. It's raining in Houston !!! You have no idea what a relief that is here, after weeks at +100 F days.
Dumped 1 DRZAJ DRG.X index Jan99 650 CALL when index was 654; +1-3/8 gain for dead cat pizza-tip for the week. Lots of "slippage" on this one - I assume it was due to implied volatility, and it would have been better to play the dead cat bounce the day after the 300 point DOW drop, (as you and Juri keep reminding me) rather than the last 10 minutes of that volatile day. In little ITEQ @ 6.
I was paper-trading the dead-cat bounce this week, using these sector bellwethers :
GE S&P-100 OEX.X
WMT Retail RLX.X
BMY Drugs DRG.X
CMB Banks BKX.X
AIG Insurance IUX.X
MWD Brokers XBD.X
TechStocks MSH.X... MSFT INTC AMAT DELL CSCO LU TWX
I think I'll call these my "buy on DIPS stocks". One more dip to go? (^_^) IMHO, if the worst-case scenario is a -20% correction of Berney's BigBoyz, (and we were down ~11% when SPY was at 200d EMA of 106), then the downside is known to be -10%, which is peanuts - and it's a great time to buy the BigBoyz down.
