Riechers, does CPQ include the monitor in their price? A stripped-down (bottom of the line) DELL Dimension XPS D300 sells for $1,499 with a 300mhz PII, 64MB SDRAM, 512K L2 Cache, 6.4GB ATA Hard Drive, 15" monitor (included), Video Card, 32X max CDROM, Yamaha sound card, speakers, Windows 98, MS Office 97 Small Business Edition, Dell Keyboard, MS mouse, 3 year warranty w/ 1 year on-site next day service. If you remove the monitor, the price drops.

I found this on the Compaq site:

Deskpro EP

Pentium II 300 MHz/66MHz
Desktop-Deskpro EP Series
32MB/66MHz, SDRAM 1 DIMM
3.2GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive
ATI RAGE IIC AGP Graphics w/2MB
Compaq V75 17" Monitor (16" viewable)
Compaq Business Pro Audio 1869 (without wave table)
1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive
Internal 24X Max CD-ROM Drive NO AUDIO CABLE
Microsoft Windows 95 with Internet Explorer 4.0
Compaq Keyboard
Mouse & Documentation Kit
3-Year Limited Warranty
Priced At:ÿÿ$1,599.00

The DELL looks better to me with the exception of the monitor.

Regards,

LONGonDELL
