Steve, In this Orwellian stock market, your business can be just awful as long as you were willing to reorganize. Herb Greenberg mentioned it in his column today. Abby Jo (the Jo from Petticoat Junction who didn't take a bath in the railroad tank <G>) of Goldman said that yes, earnings were lousy this quarter, but it didn't matter, because they were up 5.5% after special charges. So, if you just pretend that all losses are special and, better yet, part of a restructuring, your stock can levitate for long periods of time. <G>

Seriously, nearly every market in which Motorola is involved sucks right now, from chips to cell phones. They may not miss next quarter, because they will probably guide the world down, but this is a struggling company. With a growth stock price.

Short answer, I hate the stock's slimy guts.
