Felicia: Grant's demeanor, in your case, is indefensible. However, allow me to offer a defence.
As you are aware from perusing the posts on these forums, some of the banter is...well, idiotic. Grant, the poor bast**d, is inundated daily, with the same type of thing. His job is not unlike being the government speaker at a labour rally.
People are very quick to judge when things are not going as well as they expect and sometimes can be quite irrational. Grant is dealing with this nonsense for 10 hours a day.
Then he goes home and takes calls from irate "friends" who also are less than pleased with one thing or another. I'm sure you can imagine how this would take a toll.
A copy of your post is being faxed to Grant and I believe he will realize that, in your case at least, he was not performing to his highest standard.
Westfort is a great story. There are events unfolding in the world markets and economies that are having definate negative effects on Westfort and many, many other companies. These events are out of the control obviously, of anyone at Westfort or Genesis. They are as frustrated at the timing as you and I.
That's not to say that there aren't things that can be done to minimize the effect on Westfort's share price. Being civil and courteous to investors is an obvious one.
I'm sure Grant would welcome the opportunity to speak with you again, should you ever allow him that opportunity.
Best Regards, AL. |
