It's always nice to see someone elses views. Dell is a good company, not nearly the company Compaq is, after all Compaq doesn't just make boxes anymore...Compaq's stock price right now is low because of inventory concerns which have been corrected...once Compaq puts up positive numbers in the fall and bigger ones in the winter, expect Compaq's stock to grow much faster than Dell's...After all, Compaq doesn't really want to compete with Dell in the box making arena anymore...It's Dell's livelihood...Compaq owns a pretty powerful search engine, and their new servicing department will also rake in heavy profits...Yes Compaq used to compete with Dell, but no more...I still wonder why no one from the IBM thread comes over here...after all, now the comparisons now should be with IBM, but to compare Dell and Compaq now would be like comparing a butterfly with an eagle.
