DRIPS The key to successful investing is diversification. RISK can be reduced by holding approx 15 individual securities. An investor can never eliminate RISK completely--there is always market RISK. It is important to take a long-term view of the market when investing in DRIPS, therefore an investor should seek to invest monies in quality companies--such as MRK. DRIPs are not trading vehicles.
