Celeron vs PII: Celeron doesn't have the cache, but you are speeding at 400 at a very low price. What differences do you see between a PII 300 vs your overclocked Celeron? What is one really giving up when they go the Celeron route in general. For a trading machine, overclocked Celeron or PII 300? How do you use multimonitors on it with PCI cards: It states: The key to the overclocking with the Celeron is its lack of L2 cache which causes it to run very stable at faster speeds and its 2.5 volt Deschutes core which is the same type of chip architecture that is used on the faster Pentium II 350 and 400, and it causes the chip to run at cooler temperatures. This combo must be used with an AGP card. Win98/nt which is the better one? Of course there is no general answer. But for me at home, now that i know that the win98 matrox drivers are ok, i'll switch from nt4.0 to win98. Comparing Win98 to NT everything works more smooth and faster under Win98. I think Win98 is just more easier to use. With NT I always had some (minor) probs with my ISDN modem (a Hagenuk SpeedDragon) which I hope will work better under Win98. What exactly is working smoother and faster using Win 98 vs NT ? If you didn't have the modem problems, would you still recommend win 98 over NT for a multimonitor trading machine running the usual software and a few browsers? Regards, S.W.
