Adobe hardly uses MMX.

The functions witch make use of mmx are mainly interpolation related ones. (enlarging an image from smaller to big, smear and blur)
None of those is used often. I noticed that a lot of main memory, and a cpu with big internal cache does the trick much better. Unfortunatly i bought an Abit TX5,with tx chipset, when it was "the best around", but i am now stuck with the shitty 64mb cacheable area, and i don't feel like dumping my 233 > 266 mmx. Sufficient for me , and i'll wait for ppro +mobo or a k6-2 400. But one thing is sure, i'll have myself an Asus Ali5 mobo, and dump that 64 meg extra sdram i have lying around in my old pII (is dusting somewhere in my room, the motherboard was instabile and had problems with my isdn and network adapter -abit lx6 & Soyo lx mobo + 233 pII)
