<<If you wait till book to bill looks good the stocks will be SUBSTANTIALLY off the lows...>>

Amen. That's the one thing I think we've learned in the past few months. The high top potential in the sector just isn't much of a secret any more. Tons of money just waiting around with their trigger fingers itching. It's the only way to explain the current rally.

We may "retest the lows", the recovery may be "U" shaped in the "no-limits poker game" as the business rattles up the "food chain" (Good Lord how I hate these trite and inexact expressions -- you can tell this is a field dominated by -- well, never mind, I don't want to ruffle any feathers, but sensitivity to the mother tongue isn't a big concern on Wall Street or in the equipment sector -- now the chip industry is another matter, Groves can turn a phrase.)

Anyway, you hit the nail on the head, DK. There's a ton of money just waiting to buy into the sector ahead of the rally. And the actual industry recovery is nowhere near, with Asia continuing to tank, DRAM a complete debacle, and the big DRAM boys already substantially converted to .25 and under.

Think I'll buy some Veeco monday. :)
