FWIW - Value Line's latest assessment of PAIR, dated 7/10/98:

Some excerpts:

"Long term growth prospects for PairGain are still very good."

"PairGain is an appealing selection for aggressive long-term investors. While the company will probably continue to face heightened competition over the next several quarters, we are optimistic about its earnings growth prospects through 2001-2003. The DSL market should continue to grow at hgihg double digit annual rates during that period since it is the low-cost, high performance alternative for telecommunications networks attempting to cope with increasingly heavy demand."

VL's 2001-2003 target prices are Low 50, High 85.
