Yes, most investors think this way, but we all know
that MOST of them are doomed to lose - this is the
name of the game. You seem to get it eventually
that Intel is loosing money at a horrendous rate
although they found a way to hide this in books.
Feel comfortable with that, if you wish.

During the last whole year or more, Intel's earnings
(even convulsively fudged) were flat. With low-profit
Celery replacing the higher-margin P-II in the
marketplace, with other part of PC market eaten by AMD
and Cyrix, do you think the future earnings will be,
up or down? Good guess, not up at most! However,
you still need to compensate exempt staff with
stock options, so the cash account will continue
to drain at the same rate, $3B per quarter.
See the picture? Are you familiar with an avalanche
effect in public opinion (and corresponding stock
price)? I am afraid your woodworking skills will
not provide your family for living. See you
