Nobody ever claimed an empire would be built. I only claim they have an opportunity to make money. Sure, some of the other companies will make money but not the kind of cash that empires are created from. Intel will always be the king of the PC, just as IBM will always be king of the mainframe. AMD has doubled sales of their K5 each of the last 2 quarters and is on track to do it again (250K-500K-1M) this quarter. The stock price has doubled during the time Intel has risen 60%. Cyrix has experienced similar increases in sales and stock price. There's more than one way to make money!
