I believe that you still need a different binary file to
use an Alpha chip with most NT software. I know it's true
at the company I work for. We sell a successful CAD
application on the NT platform, but we ONLY ship X86
executables. I doubt that the Alpha will have much
success at any price, it just don't have any forward
momentum.
