Joey,
RE:"The true test of leadership will be in the pricing. We'll see how AMD prices the K6-2 with respect to PII and Celeron-A after the release of Celeron-A in 2 weeks. Then we'll see who is a class
ahead of who..."

I have a strong suspicion that AMD will announce the K6-2-350 somewhere between August 15th and the 24th. These will likely be priced in the $220 range (retail) with the 333s dropping to the $180 range where the Mendicino 333 should be priced. Now which do you think costs MORE to produce...the Celery "A" (Celery II sounds better but why confuse it with the Pentium II hey?) 333 or the K6-2-333?
I have the K6-2 cost around $30-$35 and the Celeron "A" at about $55, + or - $5. Meanwhile, who needs a Pentium II?
Don't be surprised if the Mendocino hasn't had all the bugs worked out since it's being rushed to market. Particularly on the production end.

Jim
