Jeff,

And if they bought BRK 5 years ago? or 20 years ago? IMO, it is the difference between a day-trader or momentum-trader and an investor who does their DD and believes in the Company and it's ideas and it's management. Buffett, for example, started hoarding silver when it was down and out. Why... because he knew there was a real shortage and the price was cheap. When word got out about his silver purchases the POS went up rapidly and has now settled down as was to be expected (plus the POG and the Asian crisis hasn't helped). Anyone want to make a bet he's right... in the long run? This isn't really off-topic. It's just my analogy of those on the TSIG thread who are investors and those who are day-traders or momentum players. Saloman Bros. was certainly in pretty bad financial shape when Buffett took control, but it's potential was obviously there. Each of us makes our investment decisions in our own way. I did not buy TSIG stock to trade, but rather as an investment and, until proven otherwise (not inferred by innuendo and personal interpretations of events) I personally look at any dip as a buying opportunity. If anyone can show me a day-trader or momentum-trader who has a long-term (10-20 years plus) track record even close to Buffett, I'd like to hear about them, but to each his own.

Best always,

Marty
