Hi Joe, you said the reason that you bought TCBG was:
" Validation that this is a real company with a real future. "
I agree with you and I was wondering if you could tell me what it was in your research that 'proved' to you that this company was for 'real'.
For instance just about every post here has been about what the company has said in the CC, or what the guys at Investor Relations have been putting out. Of course these two are working together. So there is no unbiased opinion or independently based facts about the company from speaking with IR or reading their website. So in theory, if TCBG wasn't what they say they are, none of us would find out from either of them. There are no financials on this company so no audited facts available. That is why I am so interested in the facts that proved it for you.
To everyone who may be observing this forum wondering if this company is for real and you need to verify that it is from an outside source, I have done it. At least enough to make me believe that this company is what they say.
First, I confirmed that they did win the award for best beverage packaging from Ameristar. This in itself isn't absolute proof but it is from an outside source. The website is:
packinfo-world.org
Second, I did see the "Childen's Beverage Group" logo on the side of Robby Unser's Indy car, ( before it crashed <g> ), on live TV. This adds a bit to the credibility and is from an outside source but it doesn't really confirm anything about them being able to produce beverages and having contracts with big retailers.
Thirdly, and the icing on the cake for me, I personally called Wal-mart and verified that they are indeed having TCBG produce beverages for them. It is not Wal-mart's policy to give out information about their alliances, but when I told him that I was just an individual investor and I was trying to find out if TCBG was a 'scam company', he said and I quote, " They are definitely not a scam company. "
We talked a bit about the race car also. So that was the proof that I could live with. I had called Winn-Dixie just before that but the guy I spoke with would not give me any information, he said they get a lot of calls about all their ventures with other companies and it was strictly against their policy to give out any information.
As Calvalry said there are probably a heck of a lot of people that won't touch this with out a financial report. One shouldn't believe just IR or the company for that matter. What was the name of that Gold company, Bre-X? Those of us who do the DD and get in early with the most risk will make the most money. I am hoping that the large short position is true but I didn't buy because of that possibility.
