Sorry, I answered all the PMs and posts I could in the time available.
When you ask 'how would you respond', you are asking me what would I do if I was in Antares' place, right?
Well, I wouldn't be in Antares' place. If I ran a publicly traded company, I would post regularly to its SI thread. And in no uncertain terms, either - plain talk. Of course I would have always to guard against accusations of selective disclosure and all that bullshit, but that's not so hard and anyway I think before long the securities commisions will recognise that an SI post is a public release.
And when somebody like john comes along mouthing it up, I would largely ignore his rant, dismiss it as hyperbole, and refrain from giving it credibility by an overly panicked defensive reaction. But of course, if some flash of inspiration brought a witticism to mind, I would not hesitate to rip him up one side and down the other, if I thought I could get a giggle from the audience at the same time as making my point.
Antares clearly has an account, clearly monitors this thread, clearly takes every word to heart. But they choose not to contribute in anything resembling a positive way - their one and only post to date was a threat designed to intimidate a bearish poster.
That is despicable and a threat to my own personal freedom to speak my mind here. And yours, too, I might add. |
