GM,

IMO we are slowly seeing a change in sentiment. Not necessarily for techs, but for those cos. which have already been in a Bear market. For the past few months we've heard analysts after analyst on CNBC and elsewhere saying buy the large cap consumer stocks. We've seen AT&T and Walmart double in price in the last 10 months and many of the large caps (Coke and Gilettle come to mind) are trading at stratospheric levels. Any bad news could hurt these stocks since they're priced for perfection. The seims, oil-service, and equipment groups have all been battered. I believe we will slowly see a change in attitude from "buy those cos. with minimum foreign exposure" to "buy those cos. which are suffering b/c of SEA." While the Dow shed several hundred points this week, many of the stocks in the sectors I have mentioned were up. Although the future is still opaque, I believe there are few surprises which could jolt them back down to their yearly lows, although it must be noted that some hit their 52 week lows this past week(SFAM, SLB).
