Hello Jonathon, your response to Robert and ALL answers the questions very concisly but go to MSFT and I am sure they have answers that are just as good to support NT. The point is that both companies are fighting each other to capture market share and he who does the better job will get a bigger piece of the pie. So far, MSFT seems to be winning. That is what the industry calls marketing.

NT is more popular than ever and with magazines (independents) rating NT on the same level as NetWare, where do you think people want to go today ? Thats right...anyting with the MSFT name written on it.

Its not technical issues any more. It is perception and the promises MSFT is making with the upcoming NT 5.0. Nobody seems to care how far MSFT is with directory services since DS never did take of in the first place. What counts is that it is from MSFT. That is all it is. Nothing more.
