Re comparing Intel and PPC cycles:

Despite the fact that this would seem to be an impossible task, I would say Apple was pretty effective with the snail, bunny, steamroller, shark, etc. So effective, that it almost seems like Macs are now perceived to be faster which I don't think is the case for most users for most tasks (read: things other than esoteric Photoshop masks on giant images).

Re a MS Office bundle: that's sort of happening with the $100 rebate when you buy Office with an iMac.
